Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

 - Matthew 11:29

Father preached about the Footprints story and a reminder that in down times, there are only one set of footprints as it was 'then that I carried you'. So apt given how depressed I've been in the last week or two since a particular work incident.

So nice to be back at choir loft, in the comfort of air-conditioned and better sound system :). Father's sermon hit home, that God wants us to be happy in Life (amidst all the stress and distress I'm facing, it's good to relax and let yourself be loved, as John put it over dinner). He related the story of how a young executive was driving a BMW and his car was hit by a brick. Annoyed, he got out of the car, and it turns out that a young boy was pushing his disabled brother who had fallen out of the wheelchair onto the road, and he needed help to lift him back into the wheelchair, in order to push him home. Touched, the executive helped to lift the disabled boy and watched as the older brother wheeled him away. He decided not to repair the car as a reminder to him to never be too busy in Life that God/ someone has to 'throw a brick' for him to realize the needs of others. Powerful :`).
